Owned and operated by the Butera Family with an emphasis placed on producing small quantities of premium wines grown only from the estate vineyard, expressing terroir and organic principles to hand craft distinctive regional wines. The Bass River and the southern end of the Strzelecki Ranges border the land. The vineyard is ideally located experiencing cool conditions from the nearby maritime elements. First planted in 1998, Bass River only produces Single Vineyard wines expressing variety, region and season. The owner Pasquale Butera meticulously cares for the grapes. Pasquale’s experience with vines commenced as a boy in Southern Italy, his knowledge and ability to nurture vines results in producing yields suited for wine type and style.

WineGrapes hand picked, whole bunch pressed, aged on lees, minimal sulphur added at bottling. Delicate aromatics with lime and a hint of spice on the nose. On the palate the citrus gives you a clean crisp hit with some green pear and spices on the back palate. Smooth, silky texture. (Vegan-friendly)
