A young emerging label out of Margaret River, Skigh Wines, have sprung out of the gate with 3 ranges of wines, from the entry level Coda wines, premium Abacus wines though to their experimental Strange Brew labels. With over 15 years of winemaking experience in the region, Skigh McManus sources fruit from what he feels are the best sub-regions in the Margaret River area.
|Wine||Open fermentation using naturally occurring yeast, with 10% whole bunch carbonic maceration. Basket pressed off skins after 3 weeks into second use oak. The wine sees 10 months in barrel prior to bottling. Aromas of flat cherry cola, primary red fruits and minerality.|
Juicy fruit, ripe cherry, savoury spices, stalks, charred oak, plum skin texture on the palate.
