Amisfield is an Estate that was formed around a simple philosophy: to nurture nature at every step. Amisfield Estate is situated beneath the dramatic, glacially sculpted Pisa mountain range in Central Otago – New Zealand’s most spectacular wine region. The rugged inland location affords a semi-continental climate,with exceptionally cold winters, and hot summers with cool evenings and low rainfall- this unforgiving environment gives generously to flavour. The unique growing conditions combined with glacially derived gravel-driven soils, a north-facing aspect and shelter from the most extreme winds, yield wines of remarkable purity, intensity and vibrancy.
