Apollonis Authentic Meunier Blanc de Noirs Brut NV
|Producer||Apollonis Champagne. Festigny, France|
|Status||High Environmental Value (HVE) Certificate, the highest award recognising respect and care for the land, the environment and its biodiversity.|
The origins of Champagne Apollonis can be traced back through Michel Loriot’s family to the 17th Century when his ancestors started growing vines in 1675. Found in the small village of Festigny, the Apollonis Estate owns 7 hectares of vines comprising 20 or so separate plots planted for the most part with Pinot Meunier (80%), some Chardonnay (18%) and a little Pinot Noir (2%).
This small, family-run estate is producing high quality, minimal intervention cuvees and, as far as we know, Michel Loriot is the only Champagne producer who broadcasts classical music in his vineyards and cellars!
|Wine||A rich, creamy and complex style from an award-winning estate grower-producer. A champagne that is naturally delicious.|
|Awards||Bronze Medal at Decanter World Wine Awards 2018|
Silver Medal at Concours des Vignerons Indépendants
